Robert was born in 1039.1 Robert's father was William I Conqueror and his mother was Lefieltna or Lesceline deHartcourt. His paternal grandparents were *Rollo Ragnvaldsson and *Poppa De Valois; his maternal grandparents were *Turchetil De Harcourt and MARIE AVELINE DEMONTFORT. He had two brothers and a sister, named *Hugh DeTaleboth, Pons Fitz and Lithuaise. He was the youngest of the four children.-
