*John De Vere 
*John was born in 1516 in Oxfordshire, England.1 *John's father was John DeVere and his mother was Elizabeth Trussel. His paternal grandparents were John DeVere and *Alice Kilrington; his maternal grandparents were *Edward Trussel and Margaret Dunn Trussel. He had a sister named Lady Frances. He was the older of the two children. He had four half-brothers and three half-sisters, named John, Aubrey, Robert, Geoffrey, Anne, Elizabeth and Ursula de. He died at the age of 46 on August 3rd, 1562 in Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.1 General Notes
JOHN DE VERE
John de Vere, 16th Earl of Oxford (1516 - 3 August 1562) was born to John de Vere, 15th Earl of Oxford and Elizabeth Trussel, daughter of Edward Trussel. He was styled Lord Bolebec 1526 to 1540 before he succeeded his fathers title. He married first Dorothy Neville, daughter of Ralph Neville, 4th Earl of Westmorland in Holywell, Shoreditch, London on 3 July 1536, and second Margery Golding in Belchamp St Paul on 1 August 1548. His weddings produced three children; Catherine de Vere by his first wife Dorothy, and Mary de Vere and Edward de Vere, later the 17th Earl, by his second wife Margery. After his death, he was buried in Castle Hedingham, Essex on 31 August 1562.
