Baron Robert De Stanstead 
Baron Robert was born in 1068 in Normandy, France.1 Baron Robert's father was Hugh De Gournay and his mother was Basita Flaitel. His paternal grandparents were *Hugh De Gournay and Beatrix Capet; his maternal grandparents were Gerard Flatel and Herleva D Evereaux. He had three brothers and two sisters, named *Gerard, Hugh, Richard, Judith Adela and Basilie. He was the youngest of the six children. He had four half-brothers named William, Geoffrey, *Richard and Gerard. He died at the age of 18 in 1086.1 -
