*Roger was born in 1171 in Lincoln, Lincolnshire, , England.1   *Roger's father was *John De Lacy and his mother was *Alice De Mandeville.  His paternal grandparents were *Richard Fitz Eustace and *Albreda De Lisoures; his maternal grandparents were *Geoffrey De Mandeville and *Rohese De Vere.  He was an only child.  He died at the age of 40 in 1211 in Pontefract, Yorkshire, , England.1
