*Hawis was born in July 1291 in , Montgomeryshire, , Wales.1 *Hawis' father was *Owain Ap Griffin De La Pole and her mother was *Joan Corbet. Her paternal grandparents were *Gruffudd Ap Gwenwynwyn and *Hawise Le Strange; her maternal grandparents were *Robert Corbet and *Katherine Le Strange. She had two brothers named William and Gruffudd. She was the second oldest of the three children. She died at the age of 54 in 1345.1 -
