Thomas was born about 1245 in Tunbridge, Kent, , England.1 Thomas' father was Richard deClare and his mother was Maud De Lacy. His paternal grandparents were Gilbert De Clare and Countess Isabel Marshall of Pembroke. He had a brother and two sisters, named Robert Richard, Isabel and Margaret. He was the second oldest of the four children. He had a half-brother named Gilbert IV Earl Gloucs. He died on August 29th, 1287 in Connaught, Clare, , Ireland.1 -
