*Frederick was born in 1758 in Lancaster, Lancaster, Pennsylvania, USA.1   *Frederick's father was *Johann Conrad Kleikam and his mother was Maria Margraretha Gerls.  His paternal grandparents were Hans Henrich Kleikan and Catherine Magdalena Kurre; his maternal grandparents were *Hans Gerls and *Anna Ahlborn. He had two brothers and three sisters, named Conrad, Peter, Sophia Charlotta, Christina E and Elizabeth.  He was the second youngest of the six children. He had three half-brothers and two half-sisters, named Balsar, Balser, Peter, Charlotte and Mary.  He died at the age of 88 in 1846 in Johnson, Knox, Indiana, USA.1
