Sidney was born on December 7th, 1823 in Nk, Ireland. Sidney's father was John William Jenings and his mother was Mary Webb. His paternal grandfather was George Jenings and his paternal grandmother is (Mother); his maternal grandparents were Thomas Webb and Abigail Manders. He had a brother and three sisters, named John, Georgina Margaret, Catherine and Mary Jane. He was the second oldest of the five children.-
