Joseph

Joseph's father is Jacob and his mother is Rachel. His paternal grandparents are Issac and Rebekah; his maternal grandparents are Laban and Unknown. He has a brother named Benjamin. He has ten half-brothers and a half-sister, named Reuben, Simeon, Levi, Judah, Dan, Naphtali, Gad, Asher, Issachar, Zebulun and Dinah.

General Notes
- Joseph was the favored son of his father Jacob. His preferential treatment along with his own "bragging" about his dreams caused his brothers to be extremely jealous and harbor feelings of hatred toward him. This resulted in his brothers selling him into slavery in Egypt where he lived out the remainder of his life. He faced many obstacles, yet never turned from God. His presence in Egypt saved his family and many others from a certain death due to an extreme famine. See Gen. 37-50
