Rija's father is Jean Jacques Rajhonson and his mother is Huguette Carmen Rafiakarana. His maternal grandfather is Jean Gabriel Rafiakarana and his maternal grandmother was Marthe Rasoloarimalala. He has a brother and three sisters, named Rivo, Cathucia, Rinah and Rindra.
