Simon Faustlein

Simon was born about 1706 in Braunsbach, Germany.¹ Simon's father was Faustle der Alt and his mother is Unknown. He was an only child. He died in 1772 in Braunsbach, Germany.¹

General Notes
- Fautle the Elder's son, Simon Faustlein (aka Simon Feis) was admitted as Schutzjud in 1727 when he married Lazarus' daughter Minka and moved out of his parental house. Apparently he was a cattle dealer. This can be gleaned from the fact that in 1735, he leased the "outer stone pasture" for 40 fl. Braunsbacher Jews of that time could not own any realestate other than their homes, therefore dattle dealers had to rent pastures for the cattle that was in their possession.
