Lydia was born in 1888.1  Lydia's father was John Frederick Sidney JEANES and her mother was Emma Jane HUGHES.  Her maternal grandparents were Nathaniel Eden HUGHES and Sarah Judson REEVE. She had three brothers and two sisters, named Edwin, Frederick, Sydney, Laura and Hilda.  She was the second oldest of the six children.
