Arie was born on May 22nd, 1870 in Moordrecht.1  Arie's father was Pieter HOGENDOORN and his mother was Jansje KNOR.  His paternal grandfather is <Unknown> and his paternal grandmother was Klaziena HOGENDOORN; his maternal grandparents were Johan Fredrik KNOR and Johanna TERLOUW. He had six sisters named Johanna, Klazina, Johanna, Pietertje, Cornelia and Jansje.  He was the oldest of the seven children. He had three half-brothers and a half-sister, named Anne, Pieter, Willem and Maria.  He died at the age of 62 on June 1st, 1932 in Rotterdam.2
