  Flossie M. Smith, 96, widow of Lawrence B. Smith, died Tuesday, July 27, 2004 at her residence. Born in Garrard County, KY, she was a daughter of the late Louis and Anna Humphrey. She was a retired Lexington Bluegrass Army Depot radio technician and a charter member of Bethel Assembly of God Church. Survivors are a son, Paul William (Etta Mae) Smith, Nicholasville; three daughters, Janette Mattingly, Lexington, Ruby (Robert) Lewis, Richmond, and Sarah (T.J.) Lewis, Lexington; 19 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Friday at Bethel Assembly of God Church by Pastor Herbie Hoskins, the Rev. George Maloney and the Rev. Dewell Perry. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be C. Clyde Stinnett, Wayne Moberly, Harold Niekirk, Jerry Burton, Harry Maloney, Tommy Waters and Keith Sayre. Honorary pallbearer will be Marion Watts. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home-Main St. Contributions are suggested to Hospice of the Bluegrass, 2312 Alexandria Drive, Lexington, KY 40504.
