Jerome Porter was born on April 23rd, 1833 in Wardsboro, Windham, Vermont, United States.1   Jerome Porter's father was Davis Read and his mother was Lucinda Davis.  His paternal grandparents were Daniel Read and Sarah Brigham; his maternal grandparents were Samuel Davis and Deborah Chapin. He had seven brothers and five sisters, named Charles, Austin C, Elisha A, Addison, Albert Gallatin, Oscar Adams, <Unknown>, Eliza L, Rosanna Diana, Harriet, Catherine Sophia and Frances Marietta.  He died at the age of 58 on December 10th, 1891 in Wardsborough, Windhm, Vermont, United States.
