James Wheatly

James was born in 1688 in Maryland, United States.¹ James' father was John Wheatley and his mother was Winifred Horne. His paternal grandparents were John Wheatley and Ann Montague; his maternal grandparents were Edward Horne and Winnifrede Horne?. He had four brothers and six sisters, named John, Joseph, Thomas, Francis, Mary Elizabeth, Winifred, Ann, Mary, Elizabeth and Susannah. He was the second oldest of the eleven children. He died at the age of 32 in 1720.
