Ether Waters

Ether was born in May 1895 in North Carolina.¹ Ether's father was Artillery Waters and her mother was Mary Jane Dowdy. Her maternal grandparents were Harmon Hoyt Dowdy and Louvenia Susan McCotter. She had a brother and three sisters, named Thomas L, Lucy, Rusha E and Mary E. She was the fourth oldest of the five children.
