James Saunders

James was born about 1870 in North Carolina.¹ James' father was John William Sr Sanders and his mother was Nancy Elizabeth Alexander Harris. His paternal grandparents were Jacob Sanders and Elizabeth Strong. He had three brothers and two sisters, named John William Jr, Julius, Seth, Annie Elizabeth and Virgina. He was the fourth oldest of the six children.
