William Major Robinson

William Major was born on December 29th, 1913 in North Carolina.¹ William Major's father was John Parke Roberson and his mother was Goldia Magile Hayes. His paternal grandparents were John J Roberson and Delia Martha Gilreath; his maternal grandparents were Melvin Loyd Hays and Martha Jane Mattie Johnson. He had four brothers and a sister, named Earl, John Oscar, Clifford, Donald and Lois. He was the second oldest of the six children. He had three half-brothers named Magor, Claude and Hugh. He died at the age of 69 on June 28th, 1983 in North Wilkesboro, N.C.¹
