Nathan was born on January 7th, 1866 in North Carolina.1   Nathan's father was Joseph Riddick and his mother was Margaret Ann Rountree. He had four brothers and six sisters, named Elbert, Joseph, James W., Charles M., Mary M, Katie A., Elbur L., Ella, Sarah A. and Elizabeth J..  He was the fourth oldest of the eleven children.  He died at the age of 60 on June 21st, 1926 in Trotville, Gates, North Carolina, United States.1
