Male James Winfred McCotter

James Winfred was born on November 23rd, 1887 in Vandemere, Pamlico Co., NC.1   James Winfred's father was Thomas York McCotter and his mother was Caroline Delamar.  His paternal grandparents were Richard Harvey McCotter and Julia Ann Delamar; his maternal grandparents were Hawkins Delamar and Eliza Ball. He had six brothers and nine sisters, named Thomas, Richard Franklin, Thomas York, John, Claud Duvall Mckay, Walter, Pauline, Regenia, Pauline, Reginia Bucklin, Minie, Anna, Mary Elzi, Annie Byron and Elizabeth "Bessie".  He was the fifteenth oldest of the sixteen children.  He died at the age of 74 on September 8th, 1962 in Fuquay Springs, Wake Co., NC.1
