Gilbert McCotter

Gilbert was born in 1867 in North Carolina, United States. Gilbert's father was Benjamin Franklin McCotter Sr and his mother was Britann Sawyer. His paternal grandparents were Burney McCotter and Susan A Fulcher; his maternal grandparents were Jesse Sawyer and Sarah Martha Alfred. He had five brothers and five sisters, named Dewitt Clinton, Joseph Graham, Jessie, John L, Benjaman Franklin, Olive D, Pauline, Virginia, Claudia D and Eva A. He was the oldest of the eleven children.
