Male Brigadier Joseph Martin

Brigadier Joseph was born on September 18th, 1740 in Charlottesville, Albemarle, Virginia, USA.1   Brigadier Joseph's father was John Martin and his mother was Susannah Chiles.  His paternal grandparents were William Martin and Ann Cade; his maternal grandparents were John Chiles and Eleanor Webber. He had three brothers and five sisters, named Major Brice, William, George, Sarah, Mary, Susannah, Martha and Nancy Ann.  He was the eighth oldest of the nine children.  He died at the age of 68 on December 18th, 1808 in Martinsville, Henry, Virginia, USA.2
