Agostino Lamonica

Agostino was born on September 8th, 1886 in Sciara, Sicily (Sicilia), Italy.¹ Agostino's father was Giovanni (John) Lamonica and his mother was Maria (Mary) Battaglia. His maternal grandfather was Mr Battaglia and his maternal grandmother is - Battaglia?. He had five brothers and four sisters, named Samuel, Joseph, Cosmo, Antoine (Tony) John, Cosmo, Josie, Anna, Angelina and Theresa. He died at the age of 81 on December 22nd, 1967 in Rome, NY. He was buried in Saint Mary's Cemetery Rome, NY.

General Notes
- He owned a truck farm on South James Street in Rome, New York. Family members tell me of remembering August sitting on the back of a farm wagon with an umbrella directing his children and grandchildren in the weeding of the onion field.
