Hardy Hooker

Hardy was born in 1822 in Tyrrell, North Carolina, United States. Hardy's father was William Hooker and his mother was Mary Polly Bateman. His maternal grandparents were Levy Bateman and Keziah Phelps. He had two brothers and four sisters, named Nathan, Henry H, Sophia A, Mary Polly, Rachel S and Elizabeth. He was the second oldest of the seven children. He had a half-brother named Benjamin T.
