Betsey Hinman

Betsey was born on October 11th, 1788 in Benson, Rutland, Vermont, United States.¹ Betsey's father was Samuel Howard and her mother was Jannett Currie. Her paternal grandparents were Samuel Howard and Anne Seymour. She had four brothers and four sisters, named Edward Seymour, Leicester, Erastus, Samuel, Jennett Beveridge, Katherine, Julia Ann and Nancy. She was the second oldest of the nine children. She had two half-sisters named Jenette Beverige and Betsey Hinman. She died at the age of 21 on September 2nd, 1810.
