Cartwright Hammett

Cartwright was born in 1738 in St Marys, St Mary's, Maryland, United States. Cartwright's father was Robert Hammett and his mother was Elizabeth Hammett. His paternal grandparents were Robert Hammett and Mary Catherine Lawrence. He had four brothers and two sisters, named Robert, John, Mckelvie, William H, Elizabeth and Mary. He was the sixth oldest of the seven children.
