Ames Dowling

Ames was born about 1904 in New York.¹ Ames' father was Arthur T Dowling and her mother was Catherine S. Smyth. Her maternal grandparents were James I Smyth and Catherine Farnand. She had a brother and seven sisters, named James, Anna M, Marie E, Alice, Agnes H, Evaline A, Evaline A and Ceclia. She was the fourth oldest of the nine children.
