Elizabeth was born about 1789.¹ Elizabeth's father was Francis III Delamar and her mother was Harty Nelson ?. Her paternal grandparents were Francis Delamar and Susannah Flowers. She had four brothers and three sisters, named Thomas, Nelson, Joseph, Francis, Sarah, Susannah and Nancy. She was the sixth oldest of the eight children. She had six half-brothers and three half-sisters, named Demson, Nelson, Thomas Tryon, John Sedgewick, Benjamin, Wallace, Marian, Susannah and Mary.
