Altia Midkiff

Altia was born on April 15th, 1907. Altia's father was Samuel Asa Midkiff and her mother was Mary Martha. She had a sister named Gertha. She was the older of the two children. She died at the age of 23 on February 19th, 1931 in Leesville, Vernon, LA, USA. She was buried in Rosepine, Vernon, LA, USA.

General Notes
- She is buried in the Miller cemetery 1/10 of a mile south of the Lillie Pentecostal Church in the Cottonwood community. You get there by traveling west on Hawks Road just north of Rosepine for about 5 miles until you come to the Cottonwood Road. Turn right and travel for about 2.2 miles and the cemetery is on the right, off of the road somewhat. Mr. Robert Lee of Groves, Texas told us on 15 July 2001 that her marriage to O.L. Lee caused a huge stink in the family by his wedding a 20 year old woman, with him being in his 60's. Lest We Forget, volume 2, pg. 173 gives Altia Lee's birth and death as 4/15/1907 - 2/19/1931 so that is what we're using.
