Richard was born in 1576 in Didlebury,,Shropshire,England.1   Richard's father was Thomas Mason.  His paternal grandfather was Edward Mason.  He was an only child.  He died at the age of 133 in 1709 in Broadmire,Dent,Yorkshire,England.1
