Samuel was born on November 10th, 1632 in Bristol, Avon, Gloucester, England.1   Samuel's father was Samuel Allen and his mother was Ann Whitmore.  His paternal grandparents were George Allen and Katherine Starkes. He had a brother named Nehemiah.  He was the older of the two children.  He died at the age of 71 in 1703 in East Bridgewater, Plymouth, Massachusetts.2
