Henry was born in 1751 in Chatham, North Carolina, United States.  Henry's father was John Cooke and his mother was Christian Faire.  His paternal grandparents were Reuben Cooke and Hannah Atkinson. He had seven brothers and ten sisters, named Thomas, John, Abraham, James, Joseph, Christian, Ephraim, Mary, Christina, Elizabeth, Jeanne, Emma, Ede, Millea, Joanne, Christian and Millea.  He died at the age of 55 in November 1806 in Chatham, North Carolina, United States.
