Petrus was born in Aliwal North.  Petrus' father was <Unknown> and his mother was Annie Justina van Blerk.  His maternal grandparents were Jacobus Johannes x van Blerk and Annie Justina du Toit (van Blerk).  He was an only child.  He died on October 8th, 1918 in First World War.  He was buried at the Beaurevoir British Cemetery, France.
