Nicolaas Willem van Blerk 
Nicolaas Willem was born on December 31st, 1864. Nicolaas Willem's father was Nicolaas Willem van Blerk and his mother was Maria Johanna Erasmus (van Blerk). His paternal grandparents were Johannes Petrus van Blerk and Geertruida Elizabeth Louw (van Blerk); his maternal grandparents were Lourens Jacobus Erasmus and Anna Magaretha Carolina de Villiers (Erasmus). He had three brothers and three sisters, named Johannes Petrus, Marthinus Johannes, Gerhardus Nicolaas, Catharina Carolina Margaretha, Gertruida Elizabeth and Maria Johanna. He had a half-brother named Johannes Petrus. He died at the age of 87 on August 13th, 1952 in Keimoes, Siyanda District Municipality, Northern Cape. He was buried in Keimoes Cemetery.-
