Martha Berendina van Blerk

Martha Berendina van Blerk d1879

Martha Berendina was born in 1844 in Paarl. Martha Berendina's father was Jacobus Rogier van Blerk and her mother was Johanna Petronella van Niekerk (van Blerk). Her paternal grandparents were Simon Petrus van Blerk and Anna Margaretha Bremicker (van Blerk); her maternal grandparents were Bernhardus Carolus van Niekerk and Johanna Hendrina Greyling (van Niekerk). She had three brothers and three sisters, named Simon Petrus, Jacobus Johannes, Johannes Barend Carlus, Anna Margaretha, Jacomina Aletta and Johanna Petronella. She was the youngest of the seven children. She died at the age of 35 on December 10th, 1879 in Colesberg.
