Jan Hendrik was born on November 12th, 1935 in Krugersdorp. Jan Hendrik's father was Bernardus van Blerk and his mother was Gertruida Jacomina Elizabeth Barnard (van Blerk). His paternal grandparents were Jan Hendrik van Blerk and Elizabeth Johanna Pieterse (van Blerk). He had two brothers named Jacobus Christiaan and Bernardus. He was the oldest of the three children. He died at the age of 75 on November 21st, 2010.General Notes
