Jan Albertus van Blerk 
Jan Albertus was born on August 1st, 1908. Jan Albertus' father was Jacobus Adrijan Rozier van Blerk and his mother was Rachel Johanna Zeeman (van Blerk). His paternal grandparents were Simon Petrus van Blerk and Jacomina Hendrina Louw (van Blerk); his maternal grandparents were Pieter Zeeman and Rachel (Zeeman). He had five brothers and six sisters, named Simon Petrus, Pieter Gerhadus Louw, Jacobus Adriaan Rozier, Johannes, Gabriel, Rachel Johanna, Jacomina Hendrina, Johanna Petronella, Hester Jacoba, Christina Koth-Thomsen and Maria Susanna. He was the second youngest of the twelve children. He died at the age of 78 on September 13th, 1986.General Notes
