Anna Christina was born in 1953.  Anna Christina's father was Alburtus Pieter van Blerk and her mother was Johanna Elizabeth Francina Grove (van Blerk).  Her paternal grandparents were Jacobus Johannes x van Blerk and Anna Maria Barnard (van Blerk). She has two brothers named Jacubus Johannes and Sybrand Johhanes.  She is the youngest of the three children.
