Eliza was born about 1837 in Banham, Norfolk, England.1   Eliza's father was Samuel LOCK and her mother was Rhoda JESSUP.  Her paternal grandparents are Henry LOCK and Martha MAYER; her maternal grandparents were William JESSUP and Elizabeth DAYTON. She had a brother and two sisters, named Samuel, Mary Jane and Susannah.  She was the youngest of the four children.  She died in December 1893 in Strood, Kent, England.  She was buried on December 30th, 1893 in All Saints, Frindsbury.2
