William was born on December 14th, 1838.  William's father was Samuel HOOKER and his mother was Mary LOCKYER.  His maternal grandparents were Richard LOCKYER and Elizabeth Catherine MILLER. He had a brother and a sister, named Samuel Richard and Mary Ann Elizabeth.  He was the second oldest of the three children.  He died at the age of 2 in 1840 in William Street, Shoreditch.  He was buried on January 19th, 1840 in Hoxton St John.
