Ellen was born in 1852.  Ellen's father was Charles DAY and her mother was Emma WILTON.  Her paternal grandfather was William DAY; her maternal grandparents were Aaron WILTON and Harriet HURST. She had two brothers and a sister, named Thomas, Charles and Mary Ann.
