Jonathan Tong was born in 1819 in Chatham, Kent.  Jonathan Tong's father was John BOULDEN and his mother was Rebecca FEATHERSTONE.  His paternal grandparents were David BOULDEN and Sarah STANLEY. He had a brother and five sisters, named John Tong, Rebecca, Sarah, Mary Ann, Jemima and Margaret.  He was the third youngest of the seven children.
