Edgars was born on March 11th, 1932 in Bauska.  Edgars' father was Mr Ludvigs Rūdolfs Migla and his mother was Mrs Elza Hilda Ida Migla (Ušerovska).  His paternal grandparents were Mr Otto Migla and Lavīze Migla (Lagzdiņa); his maternal grandparents were Mr Jānis Ušerovskis and Mrs Auguste Ušerovska (Māske). He had two brothers and a sister, named Juris, Andrejs and Maiga.  He was the second oldest of the four children.  He died at the age of 78 on October 21st, 2010.
