Thomas was born on April 1st, 1728 in Brunswick, Virginia.1   Thomas' father was James Whitlock and his mother was Frances Jones.  His paternal grandparents were James Whitlock and Margaret.  He was an only child.  He died at the age of 52 on October 6th, 1780 in Halifax, Virginia.1
