William Percy Lewis

William was born on November 3rd, 1899 in Neshoba County, Mississippi.¹ William's father was William (W.T.) Taylor Lewis and his mother was Mary Isabel Stroud. His paternal grandparents were Richmond P Lewis and Eliza M Whatley (Lewis); his maternal grandparents were Daniel Stroud and Nancy Ann Matilda. He had three brothers and a sister, named Henry, Jefferson, Bell and Eula. He was the second youngest of the five children. He had three half-brothers and three half-sisters, named James, Ervin, T.J., Bertie, Finch and Queenie. He died at the age of 82 in April 1982 in Gulfport, Mississippi.¹
