Shirley was born on June 15th, 1926.  Shirley's father was John W Hinkle and his mother was Nana P White (Hinkle). He had seven brothers and three sisters, named J, Leroy, Archie, Henry, Eugene, Matthew, Earl, Anna, Nana and Betty.  He died at the age of 79 on December 16th, 2005.
