James Brown

James was born in 1763 in Dalserf, Lanarkshire, Scotland.¹ James' father was John Brown and his mother was Mary Ferguson. His paternal grandparents were James Brown and Janet Galloway. He had three brothers and a sister, named Maxwell, Robert, John and Mary. He was the youngest of the five children. He died at the age of 86 in 1849 in Lanarkshire, Scotland.¹
