Josiah Dow

Josiah was born on January 5th, 1765. Josiah's father was Joseph Dow and his mother was Dorothy Blake. His paternal grandparents were Deacon Samuel Dow and Mary Page; his maternal grandparents are Nathan Blake and Judith Batchelder. He had three brothers and a sister, named Isaiah, Reuben, Simeon and Dorothy. He was the second oldest of the five children. He died at the age of 75 on October 23rd, 1840 in Hampton, New Hampshire.

- Josiah was the fourth generation of town clerks of Hampton. He held the office for 20 years.
