Charles Dow

Charles was born on September 17th, 1818 in Kensington, Rockingham County, New Hampshire. Charles' father was Nathan Dow and his mother was Mary Prescott. His paternal grandparents were Benjamin Dow and Tabitha Blake. He had a brother and two sisters, named Henry, Mary and Tabitha. He was the oldest of the four children.

General Notes
- Charles moved from Kensington, New Hampshire to Newburyport, Massachusetts in 1863 in accomodate and increasing boatbuilding business. Charles was said to have died while serving in the army, albeit of quite mature years.
